Spey Nation features a full BBQ sponsored by the Oak Orchard Flyshop, raffles, “On the water” demonstrations, and interaction with some of the biggest names in 2 handed casting from the East and West Coasts. Mixing styles, knowledge, and backgrounds, Great Lakes anglers finally have the opportunity to learn Traditional Spey, Scandinavian, and Skagit techniques from the experts, try specialized equipment on the water and talk with other fishermen in an atmosphere dedicated exclusively to 2-handed casting while enjoying a burger and a brew.

This will be your opportunity to get out on the water with the rods of your choice and talk to representatives from companies specializing in 2 handed fishing. Buelah, Echo, Thomas & Thomas, Scott, Guideline, CND, Burkheimer, Airflo, Rio, Wild Water Fly Rods, Hardy, Orvis, Heritage Fly Rods, G Loomis, Temple Fork Outfitters, DTX Mackenzie, and Sage will all be in attendance and have promised to bring their entire lines of demo rods and lines. Anybody who attended past events had unprecedented access to a great variety of fishing tools.
Once again, the proceeds to our raffle will be donated to the Fish Creek Atlantic Salmon Club, a completely grass routes organization dedicated to re-establishing native fish stocks to Fish Creek in Upstate, NY with the primary focus on restoring runs of native Atlantic Salmon to Fish Creek.
